  • My name is Renee Martin. Liberty-Eylau is my home and has been for more than 40 years. It is where I married my high school sweetheart, and where we raised our two daughters who are now adults living and raising their children in the Liberty-Eylau community. I serve this community because it is home and I believe I’ve been called to do so. I believe leadership is a call to serve and foster the greatness that
resides in every individual, all while creating an atmosphere of teamwork in which every voice works together in unity. I support the family unit and parental involvement. I serve this community with the hope of strengthening the next generation.

My vision is that LEISD will be a positive example of leadership within our community and our city. My mission is to help provide confidence, support, and opportunities so all can reach their greatest potential.

“It’s not that you can’t; you just haven’t yet” — Renee Martin
“For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases Him” - Philippians 2:13

  • Timothy Brown is a proud alumnus and lifelong resident of Liberty-Eylau ISD, where he has called the community home for 25 years. Since joining the Liberty-Eylau Fire Department in 2013, Timothy has dedicated himself to protecting lives, responding to emergencies, and mentoring younger members of the department. His service extends far beyond the firehouse — since 2017, he has volunteered countless hours to the school district, working football games, supporting athletic programs, and capturing memories through his photography for softball and baseball teams on the road.

A leader both in uniform and in the community, Timothy’s dedication has been recognized through numerous honors, including Firefighter of the Year for the Liberty-Eylau Fire Department in both 2018 and 2023, the H.E. Markham Community Service Award in 2024, and the Leopard for Life Award in 2025. Each award reflects his deep commitment to service, integrity, and community pride.

Professionally, Timothy serves as a Construction Coordinating Engineer for Ritter Communications, where he applies the same work ethic and attention to detail that have defined his public service career. Whether responding to an emergency, volunteering at a school event, or lending his skills to community projects, Timothy embodies the values of leadership, selflessness, and dedication that make Liberty-Eylau a stronger and more united community.

  • Hello, my name is Becky Fellers, and it’s a great honor to serve on the Liberty-Eylau School Board. For me, this is more than just a position—it's a family legacy. My dad served on the LE school board for many years. My husband and I are both LE graduates, and we've had the immense joy of watching our child and grandchild follow in our footsteps. After retiring from a long career as a teacher right here in Liberty-Eylau, I’m more committed than ever to our students.  Serving as a school board trustee allows me to give back to the place that has given my family so much. I am dedicated to making our community the best it can be, and I see that same passion in the teachers, staff, and administration who welcome me to our campuses. Our collective mission is simple: to give our students the foundation they need to build successful, productive lives. I truly believe that with our incredible team, this is a goal we can and will achieve.

  • Cadesha Benson-Whitaker grew up in Texarkana, TX.  She earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, AR.  She has spent much of her career working with nonprofits and in early childhood education, and she finds joy in being able to give back to the community through her work.  She enjoys doing yoga, spending time with her family, and traveling.  She is married to Joe and they share two sons, Tre’ and Carter.
