GIFTED AND TALENTED
On Sunday, May 19th, Liberty-Eylau HS held its annual GT Fair. The 9-12th grade Gifted and Talented students were able to showcase their year-long research projects to students, teachers, parents, and community members. The students and would like to thank everyone that attended!

MATH PLC
Friday the PLC met to participate in professional development on Marzano’s Nine High Yield Strategies. The participants also examined the use of traditional board games to teach math. Groups were challenged to create ways to modify traditional games to teach math concepts, examine how they could accommodate for the diverse needs of students, and identify which of Marzano’s research-based instructional strategies could be used with the game to address areas of weakness on the STAAR/EOC assessments.

HS TEACHER RECEIVES MASTERS
Congratulations to Don Broyles for receiving his Masters of Education in Education Administration on Saturday, May 18th from Texas A&M University – Texarkana. He was also inducted into the Alpha Chi National College Honor Society on April 15th.
